Finally feeling better and bath time!

I was feeling a lot better here – not having to crawl or hunch over to walk somewhere. Henry was tired and took a nap on me and we snapped some pics. Then mom helped me give him a bath. It has been a God-send with her here to help us. I don’t think I could have made it without her.

So sweet
All of us
Time for a bath!
He loves it!

Burp time

Henry ate a big lunch and here I am trying to burp him.

Bouncer Boy!

My best friend Lenni gave me this bouncer as a gift and we LOVE it. So does Henry…

Time with Oma

My mom came down from NM to help us with our little miracle. She’s been getting up with him during the night and feeding him so we can get some sleep. She is so amazing and we are so grateful for her help.

Looking cute

These pics were taken right before I decided to throw in the towel on breastfeeding. When I was taken to the OR after Henry’s delivery, they gave me a drug called Ketomene ( a freaking HORSE tranquilizer!!) and they told me that I couldn’t breast feed until 24 later. So Henry never really learned how to latch on and it was a horrible, painful week and half following. We even had a private lactation consultant visit the house to help us out, but it didn’t work. Finally, 10 days later with me chapped and bleeding and HATING every minute of breast feeding, Tom said “No More! I can’t see you like this!” So we went back to formula and I’m honestly glad I did. A lot more people can help and I’m not in pain all the time. It was probably one of the best decisions I made.
