Hey all, I made it back I one piece!! I had a wonderful time visiting Holly, Scott, their two evil dogs, and a couple of my climbing buddies. We survived the zombie race and while it was fun, it’s probably not something I’ll do again. We got accosted by the zombies – I was tackled, Emma was fondled and Crystal was thrown up against a wall. I was seriously ready to wrestle with a couple because they were so aggressive. We were able to make it through and “survive” though and got a medal for our efforts. It was cool hanging out with Holly’s girlfriends and we actually made another friend running through the race so all in all it was worth it. The weather was gorgeous my entire visit although I seriously froze my ass off the whole time. Yes, I am a wuss, but it’s difficult to get used to a humid 70’s climate coming from a desert where it’s 103 degrees. It was great for hikes, runs and climbing though and we did a lot of that. Surprisingly enough, my flights went off without a hitch although I did have a 15 hour travel day coming back that almost did me in. I missed my gremlins like CRAZY and have been smothering them with hugs and kisses since I picked them up on Tuesday. It’s nice to be back home and get back into my routine but my trip was a sad reminder of how far away all my loved ones are. Maybe one day we’ll be closer…but for now, a yearly trip will have to suffice. Love you B – thanks for putting up with me…and sorry again about your towels. =0 Haha. ***This was originally supposed to go up around 10/8***
Art of Horror Show – Holly submitted 5 of her photos to a gallery down in Burlington for the “Art of Horror” show and 3 of them were accepted. We attended the event the Saturday before I left and it was…fun. My brother in law is a major pain in the ass though and made my life miserable on the trip down. It was already freezing cold outside but he insisted on turning the AC on full blast mode. I almost died. Thanks, Scott. Jerky.
The rest of these pictures are of the beautiful scenery in Morrisville and Stowe. I can’t tell you how nice it was to run on a gorgeous trail covered in red, yellow and orange leaves. Such beautiful surroundings really change the way you think about doing ridiculous, uncomfortable, and horrible things like running.( Yes, Maria, I’m thinking of you, crazy girl) (And no I’m not talking to myself, there is another crazy Maria. Hahaha)
