Snowy Stronghold

We woke up this morning to a big suprise – snow on the rooftops! This is only the second time since I moved to Tucson in 2003 that I’ve seen it snow here. We had plans to go back out to Cochise and get on the firepit boulder again today and now we were wondering if it was smart to go or not. Well, after careful consideration and looking at the weather forecast (cuz you can ALWAYS trust that, right?) we decided to pack it in, bundle up and head out. When we arrived it was a little cloudy and snowy but we checked out the boulder and thought, we’re here so why not? After an hour or so of the sun peeking out from behind the clouds every now and then, it completely dissapeared and the wind showed up. It then turned into blizzard like conditions and we were still climibing. HA! Finally after a couple hours, we couldn’t take the cold anymore and took off. Overall it was a fun tripĀ and cool to see snow in February when it should be getting hot here.
