I can’t believe our little baby is almost here! I haven’t been sleeping very well because I can’t sleep on my side or my stomach and Henry keeps kicking me and waking me up. I told him if he wants to come out, HE CAN! 🙂

Baby Barbecue!
Holly threw me a baby barbecue/shower over the weekend and it was a load of fun! Mom and Joe came down from NM to help out and hang out too. They made soo much food and it was really nice to see all the people that came. Unfortunately there were no pictures of my friends because my camera battery died. whoops!
The Great Houdini!
After about a year, we decided that Hexus needed a little brother to play with. So, we got another pound-kitten and named him Houdini. He’s just as much a handful as Hexus ever was, but with a bigger tendency to cuddle with us. It’s taking some time for the two to become acquainted, and so far Houdini has demonstrated his unwillingness to take any crap from Hexus. It’s been quite interesting playing referee!
Hexus, the Demon Spawn!
After months of breaking me down, Mia succeeded in letting her buy a kitten (interesting how wives can do that). A few days later, we found Hexus at the animal shelter in September of 2005. He was a pistol from the very get-go. His nickname at the pound was ‘Lover boy’, which he can be…but Hexus suited him much better as he has been keeping us on our toes ever since he graced our household!
Christmas 2005
We tried again to keep with tradition by getting a tree and baking cookies, only this time, Hexus ruined Christmas! Or so I like to think. As soon as we brought in the tree, he was all over it. At first it was kind of funny, but later when he had some alone time, we came back to the house to find that the bottom half of the ornaments had been scattered all over the house. After replacing them and seeing the same result the next morning, we decided to move them all to the upper half of the tree…which didn’t work either. Again, Hexus managed to knock off a great majority of them, so finally I removed all the bulbs and left only our keepsake ornaments at the very crown of the tree. Then, Hexus proceeded to start chewing and yanking on the lights, so after only about 5 days, our tree went from fully decorated to no ornaments and a blob of lights at the very top, which we never turned on for fear the cat would electrocute himself…thus Hexus ruined Christmas!
