My best friend Lenni gave me this bouncer as a gift and we LOVE it. So does Henry…

Our little terror!
Time with Oma
Looking cute
These pics were taken right before I decided to throw in the towel on breastfeeding. When I was taken to the OR after Henry’s delivery, they gave me a drug called Ketomene ( a freaking HORSE tranquilizer!!) and they told me that I couldn’t breast feed until 24 later. So Henry never really learned how to latch on and it was a horrible, painful week and half following. We even had a private lactation consultant visit the house to help us out, but it didn’t work. Finally, 10 days later with me chapped and bleeding and HATING every minute of breast feeding, Tom said “No More! I can’t see you like this!” So we went back to formula and I’m honestly glad I did. A lot more people can help and I’m not in pain all the time. It was probably one of the best decisions I made.
Our little boy!!
Here are some pics of Henry not crying – Ha! It feels like he never stops. I think we feel overwhelmed and exhausted. I’m pretty messed up. I can’t stand up straight because my back is destroyed from pushing and because I feel like I’m going to lose my guts and breast feeding is HARD! We bought a breast pump and it is the scariest contraption I’ve ever seen in my life! Ha ha ha. Holly came over the other day and she stood there looking horrified. We of course haven’t been getting a lot of sleep but it’s not too bad right now. It’s amazing just staring at our little sweetheart thinking “We MADE this!” It’s pretty cool.
First day home!!
We got home last night from our 2 day stay in the hospital and honestly it was nice. I took a long hot bath this morning with Henry and Tommy hanging out in the bathroom with me. Henry slept most of the time and Tommy was just trying to get things back into order. Our cats freaked out when they heard Henry crying, slinking around all bug eyed! It was pretty funny.
